The following workshops will be held in Islesteps Hall. The hall is located just a couple of miles from Dumfries on the A710 Solway Coastal road. The postcode is DG2 8ES

There will be a sales table on the day and payment can be made by credit/debit card, cheque or cash.
You will need to bring a packed lunch with you, Tea, herbal teas,coffee and biscuits are provided and available throughout the day. There are cups, plates and cutlery available but please wash them up at the end of the day.
I try to make the day as informal as possible and give out notes etc to take home to remind you of what we have covered as well as ideas to work on in class.
All the equipment and materials are supplied. All classes are 10.30 to 3.30pm unless otherwise stated.

Relax, Felt and Create
These classes are suitable for beginners as well as those regulars who just want to come along , dive
into the bags of hand dyed fleece , learn new techniques and spend the day creating at a leisurely
pace. Those who are new to needle felting will be taught the techniques they need to create a land-
scape as well as experimenting with all the materials available to make another item.
Dates available: Sat 21 Feb, Sunday 22 March, Saturday 25 April , Sunday 17 May
Working with fleece, silk and sheer fabrics.
An Introduction to Wet Felting and Embellishment
Make stunning wet felted pieces to either embellish, needle felt on or leave unadorned. We
will be using wonderful lustrous silk added to carded roving which is ideal for seascapes and
colourful pieces which can be used to create pictures, make book covers, spec cases or even
to use as lampshades. The pieces will need o be taken home to thoroughly dry but I will have
some ready made pieces for you to make a small item and I will demonstrate how to add
beads, stitching, Angelina etc to your felted pieces to create something really unique.

Eco print and Dye Days
Have you ever thought about having a try at using nature to create your own beautiful dyed
fabric? Come along and have a go at eco printing leaves directly on to fabric and paper and
eco dyeing your own cloth. This class is restricted to a total of ten persons due to space and
equipment restrictions.

A Day to Dye For
Why not use your own hand dyed fleece to felt with and create really unique masterpieces.
We will be dyeing fleece from several breeds including Shetland and Blue Faced Leicester as
well as a small hank of knitting wool and threads.
For those who enjoy stitching you will have the opportunity to dye some fabric with matching
threads ready for that next project. This class will be restricted to ten persons only
