Relax, Felt and Create
Many of those who come on my courses are regulars and this is a workshop I hold once a
month where you can come along and experiment with new ideas, develop ones of your own or
just sit and enjoy a little mindful felting. This workshop is also open to those who haven’t
felted before and want to learn in a relaxing environment. This is especially suitable for
those who seek a bit of stress relief or feel that they need a bit of downtime. Lots of oppor-
tunities to explore the creative process of felting. Each month I also bring additional prod-
ucts and inspiration that I have been working with. It is also a good way of making all those
Birthday and Christmas gifts!!
This workshop is held on the following dates: Saturday 21st October,
Sunday 19th November and Saturday 2nd December
Sunday 22nd October
Celebrating Autumn
The Autumn brings with it the glorious colours of golds, greens, browns, bronzes, yellows and
oranges along with images of falling leaves, pumpkins, apples and the Harvest. There is so
much for us to enjoy and celebrate. These colours are beautifully recreated when hand
dyeing and from these colours you will find endless inspiration. This is always a popular class
as there are so may possibilities to explore. Tables of hand dyed fleece, blanket and pre-
felt, as well as beautiful paper napkins with images of Autumn , felted leaves , cut outs and
embellishments will be available to work with. Create an Autumn landscape, make a candle
wrap, felted mug warmers, book covers , purses, winter slippers.. ..whatever you choose to do
it will help your well being. There will be a little something on your table to help you get in
the mood for celebrating!!
Saturday 18th November
Creative Felting
Today the workshop is a little different as we will be working with various techniques and
will be incorporating different materials into our felting. As many of those who attend my
classes on a regular basis know I am always experimenting with different mediums. Today will
be no exception! We will be doing a little wet felting, creating silk paper, using embellish-
ments and cut outs and so much more. Don’t be alarmed if you see a soldering iron along with
my felting needle on my table!!
Sunday 3rd December
Christmas Tables
This was a very popular class last year. Today we will be celebrating the advent of Christmas.
There will be several tables set up and each one has a different project for you to complete.
Some are very quick and easy and others require a bit more effort. Some tables have
wrapped gifts on them for you to take home but you will need to make something felted to
go with it. The idea is that you go home with items to decorate your home as well as gifts to
open on Christmas Day including a project for you to do over the holiday. To get us all into
the spirit of the event there will be some Christmas goodies to eat and warm Cinnamon Apple
drink to enjoy.
